BURNSVILLE, Minn. — Minnesota State University Moorhead senior forward
Megan Hintz has been named the Northern Sun Intercollegiate Conference North Division Player of the Week, the league announced on Tuesday.
A 6-foot-2 forward from Rochester, Minn., Hintz had a big weekend in helping the No. 18 Dragon women go 2-0 at the Regional Challenge in Aberdeen, S.D., on Friday. She had 13 points and seven rebounds in a 58-56 win over No. 11 Central Missouri on Friday, and followed with a career-high 29 points in just 19 minutes in a 98-41 rout of Rogers State.
Hintz averaged 21.0 points and 7.0 rebounds per game for the week while shooting 69.6 percent (16-of-23) from the field and 90 percent (9-of-10) from the foul line.
The Dragons host Metro State-Denver and Michigan Tech at the MSUM Classic this week.
