ABERDEEN, S.D.—The Minnesota State University Moorhead women's soccer team dropped a 1-0 contest to Northern State on Friday to conclude its season in Aberdeen, S.D.
MSUM finishes the year 6-8-4 overall and 4-8-3 in the Northern Sun Intercollegiate Conference. The six wins for MSUM are the most in a season since the team won eight in 2011.
"We played and fought really hard," MSUM head coach
Christie Kopietz said. "I'm very proud of this team and what they have accomplished this season."
Northern State improved to 5-12-1 overall and 3-11-1 in the NSIC.
A late first half goal by Northern was the game's only score. Northern outshot MSUM 18-7.

MSUM loses three seniors from this season — Brownell, goalkeeper
Kennedy Rodgers and Soupir — but will return an experienced core for 2020.
