MINOT, N.D. – The No. 24 Minnesota State University Moorhead women's basketball team rebounded from its first conference loss with a 72-62 win over Minot State in action Saturday in Minot, N.D.
MSUM improved to 9-3 overall and 4-1 in the Northern Sun Intercollegiate Conference with the win while Minot State fell to 3-6 overall and 0-5 in the league.

Peyton Boom. Boom had her first career double-double with 13 points and 10 rebounds. Junior guard
Sarah Jacobson had 10 points, four assists and three steals while sophomore guard
Natalie Steichen had six assists.
MSUM won by double digits despite shooting only 34.3 percent (23-of-67) from the field. Minot State shot 39.7 percent (23-of-58). The Dragons had a 47-33 edge in rebounds, including a commanding 19-4 edge on the offensive glass.
The Dragons led 24-13 after one quarter thanks to seven points from Green and five from Boom. They took a 44-34 lead into halftime as Green had 11 first-half points.
Minot State, which trailed by as many as 14 in the first half, battled back to within six in the third quarter. The Beavers were within seven at 55-48 with 7:53 left but the Dragons responded with a 13-2 run to put the game out of reach. Junior guard

Lauren Fech buried a three. The Dragon lead never dropped below eight the rest of the night.
Hintz added four assists for MSUM while Fech had seven points off the bench.
MSUM wraps up the pre-Christmas portion of its schedule with an NSIC matchup at Northern State on Saturday, Dec. 21. Tipoff is at 4 p.m.
