MOORHEAD, Minn. — The Minnesota State University Moorhead women's swimming and diving team wrapped up the regular season with a 147-53 win over Concordia in action Friday night at the Nemzek Pool in Moorhead, Minn. Three Dragons won two events on the night — senior
Taylor Beynon, junior
Grace Moffat and freshman
Katelin Winter.
MSUM finished the dual season with a 4-2 record.
Beynon won the 50 breaststroke in 30.99 with junior
Erin Fons second at 32.74. Beynon added a win in the 200 breaststroke in 2:24.40 in her final home meet as a Dragon.
Moffat won the 100 fly in 1:02.00 with
Sami DuVal taking second at 1:05.35. Moffat added a second win in the 50 fly in 27.90.
Winter won the 100 free in 55.55 and added a win in the 200 IM in 2:19.61
Junior
Megan Gates won the 200 free in 2:07.72. Freshman
Lexie Bray (28.72) edged freshman
Kate MacGregor (28.93) for the win in the 50 back. Junior
Breah Anderson won the 100 back in 1:01.65
Senior
Linnea Johnson won the 50 free in 25.48 with senior
Josephine Hudoba taking second at 25.55.
There was a 300 free exhibition race and two Dragon seniors — Johnson and Hudoba — finished in a dead heat at 3:13.64.
"We had a great night of racing," MSUM head coach Charlie King said. "We are in the middle of our rest phase and it was great to see a little pop. The highlight of the evening was watching Linnea and Natalie tie in their last ever home meet."
The divers competed as exhibition with
Amber Westereng posting the top score in the 1-meter diving at 395.00.
Senior
Sami DuVal, Beynon, Johnson and senior
Natalie Huntley won the 200 medley relay in 1:52.33. MSUM's 200 free relay won in 1:41.27 with junior
Haley Roed, junior
Alex King, Gates and Anderson teaming up for that time.
MSUM now turns its attention to the NSIC Championships which will be held on Feb. 13-16 in Sioux Falls, S.D.
