The Minnesota State University Moorhead women's basketball team hosts Minnesota Duluth on Friday and St. Cloud State on Saturday to open a four-game homestand.
The Dragons will meet Minnesota Duluth for a 90th time with the Bulldogs leading the series 53-36; the two teams split four meetings a year ago. MSUM meets St. Cloud State for a 62nd time with the Huskies leading the series.
The Dragons return home after losing two straight games to Wayne State and Augustana on the road by a combined eight points. Senior forward
Megan Hintz had a pair of double doubles on the weekend for the Dragons.
Hintz leads MSUM at 15.2 points and 7.9 rebounds per game while sophomore forward
Peyton Boom, who had a career-high 22 points in the loss at Wayne State, averages 9.8 points and 5.5 rebounds per game. Junior guard
Sarah Jacobson averages 9.5 points, 5.8 rebounds and 3.4 assists per game while sophomore
Natalie Steichen averages a team-best 4.1 assists per game.
MSUM is outrebounding its opponents 45.1-31.7 and outscoring its foes 72.3-57.2.
Karla Nelson is in her 20th season as the MSUM head coach with a record of 365-201 at the school.
About Minnesota Duluth
The Bulldogs (14-4, 11-1 NSIC) have won three games in a row, including home wins over Minnesota State (69-58) and Concordia-St. Paul (74-55) last week.
Brooke Olson is the lone Bulldog averaging in double figures, scoring 16.1 points per game. She also leads at 6.6 rebounds per game. Sarah Grow averages 9.8 points per game while Katie Stark averages 9.6.  Maesyn Thiesen leads at 4.4 assists per game.
UMD is scoring 68.4 points per game and allowing 62.1. The Bulldogs are being outrebounded 36.5-34.1.
Mandy Pearson is in her fifth season as the UMD head coach with a record of 74-55.
About St. Cloud State
The Huskies (12-4, 9-3 NSIC) enter the week on a six-game winning streak after beating Concordia-St. Paul and Minnesota State at home last weekend.
SCSU has a balanced attack with five players averaging in double figures -- Madelin Dammann (12.6), Tori Wortz (12.3), Nikki Kilboten (11.1), Brehna Evans (10.8) and Katrina Theis (10.8). Kilboten leads at 7.6 rebounds per game while Evans leads at 3.1 assists per game.
SCSU scores 69.9 points per game and allows 60.0. They outrebound their foes 37.6-31.4.
Lori Fish is in her 12th season as the SCSU head coach.
