MOORHEAD, Minn.—The Minnesota State University Moorhead wrestling team is on the road again for a Northern Sun Intercollegiate Conference dual. The Dragons travel to Mankato, Minn., to take on No. 17 Minnesota State on Thursday. Action begins at 7 p.m.
The Dragons are 1-6 overall and 0-5 in the NSIC this season. MSUM is coming off a 38-3 loss to No. 1 ranked St. Cloud State last week at a neutral site in Pierz, Minn. Minnesota State is 7-2 overall.
Junior
Jordan Magnuson took home a win against St. Cloud State's Tyler Hugg at 285 to account for MSUM's points. Magnuson won 3-1 to improve to 9-4 on the year.
Senior
Zach Scott is 16-11 at 149 this season. Scott lost a close match to SCSU's No. 2 ranked James Pleski 1-0. Sophomore
Mason Schulz is 16-13 at 141. Sophomore
Braydon Ortloff is 8-5 this season at 157/165. Ortloff lost a close match to SCSU's Devin Donovan 8-5. Sophomore
Evan Foster is 16-11 at 174 this year.
Kris Nelson is in his 11th season as head coach of the Dragons.
Following the dual against Minnesota State, the Dragons return home on Feb. 13 to host UMary at 7 p.m. for Senior Night. On Feb. 15, MSUM travels to take on Augsburg at 7 p.m.

No. 17 Minnesota State is 7-2 overall and 3-1 in the NSIC. The Mavericks were riding a six-match winning streak before falling to No. 1 St. Cloud State 33-3 last Saturday. The Minnesota State roster features senior Zach Johnston, who was the NSIC wrestler of the week last week. Johnston is ranked No. 10 in the NWCA DII Coaches Association weight poll at 174. MSU also has No. 3 Kyle Rathman at 149 and No. 9 Louie Sanders at 141.
