For #ThrowbackThursday we travel to the 1960s and talk about two-sport standout Duane "Dewey" Ramstad. Ramstad was a letterwinner in both baseball and football at MSUM from 1965-69. SID emeritus Larry Scott — who was a roommate of Ramstad — said Ramstad, a native of Halstad, Minn., was the ace of the Dragon baseball staff and also a starting cornerback in football.
Ramstad graduated from MSUM in 1969 and later served as a graduate assistant coach in football and basketball at MSUM. He passed away in 2006 at the age of 59.
