The Minnesota State University Moorhead women's basketball team continues Northern Sun Intercollegiate Conference North Division play this weekend on the road at Bemidji State. Friday's game is at 6 p.m. and Saturday's game is 3:30 p.m.
The Dragons are 3-1 overall and 2-0 in the NSIC North while Bemidji State is 1-1. The Beavers' road games at Northern State were canceled last weekend because of Covid-19 protocols.
No fans will be allowed at the games this weekend. Â
SERIES HISTORY...
MSUM leads the all-time series with Bemidji State 71-39 and have won 18 in a row in the series. The last Bemidji State win came on Dec. 2, 2011 by a 75-68 score. Â
ABOUT MSUM...
The Dragons swept Minnesota Crookston last weekend, beating the Golden Eagles 77-67 on Friday and 83-64 on Saturday. Junior forward Peyton Boom averaged 21 points for the weekend including scoring a career-high 27 points in Saturday's win.Â
Boom averages 15.8 points and 7.3 rebounds per game to lead the Dragons in both categories. Sophomore guard Mariah McKeever and senior guard Sarah Jacobson each average 11.3 points per game while junior center Nicole Brown averages 11.0. Jacobson leads at 3.1 assists per game while Boom has six steals.Â
MSUM scores 74 points per game and allows 70. The Dragons outrebound their foes 41.0-27.3. The Dragons are shooting 43.3 percent from the field, including 31.9 percent from three. MSUM opponents are shooting 45.1 percent from three against the Dragons.Â
Karla Nelson is in her 21st season as the MSUM head coach with a record of 372-209.Â

Bemidji State is 1-1 overall. The Beavers' last action was on Jan. 2-3 vs. Minnesota State, Mankato and they split that weekend.Â
