The Minnesota State University Moorhead women's basketball team opens Northern Sun Intercollegiate Conference North Division play this weekend at home against Minnesota Crookston. Friday's game starts at 6 p.m. with Saturday's game beginning at 2 p.m. at Nemzek Fieldhouse.
The Dragons are 1-1 on the year while the Golden Eagles are 0-2.
No fans will be allowed at the Dragon games this weekend. The games will be broadcast live on the following venues:

MSUM has dominated the all-time series with UMC, leading 39-8. The Dragons swept both meetings in convincing fashion in 2019-20 and has won six in a row in the series. The last Golden Eagle win ame on Dec. 8, 2017.

The Dragons split at Augustana last weekend, losing on Saturday 83-65 before coming back with a 71-66 win on Sunday. Â
Senior guard Sarah Jacobson and junior center Nicole Brown lead MSUM at 13.5 points per game while junior forward Peyton Boom is averaging 10.5 points per game.
Brown leads at MSUM at 8.0 rebounds per game while freshman Karley Motschenbacher averages 2.5 assists a game. MSUM is scoring 68.0 points per game and allows 74.0. The Dragons are shooting 39.7 percent from the field.
Karla Nelson is in her 21st season as the MSUM head coach with a record of 370-209.Â

Minnesota Crookston went 0-2 at Concordia-St. Paul to open the season, losing 95-32 on Saturday and 54-53 on Sunday.
Bren Fox leads UMC at 10.0 points per game while Kylie Post averages 8.5. Fox also leads in rebounds at 9.0 per game while Emma Carpenter averages 3.5 assists per game.
UMC is scoring 42.5 points per game and allowing 74.5. The Golden Eagles are shooting 24.6 percent from the field.
The Golden Eagles were picked to finish eighth in the NSIC North Division.
Mike Roysland is in his 15th season as the UMC head coach with a record of 128-255 at the school.
