MOORHEAD, Minn. – The Minnesota State University Moorhead women's soccer team battled to a hard-fought 1-1 double overtime tie on Senior Day Sunday in Moorhead, Minn.
The Dragons trailed 1-0 in the second half when junior defender
Allison Tharp scored off of an assist from sophomore midfielder
Mason Kimble at the 80:56 to tie the game at 1-1. From there, neither team was able to score resulting in the 1-1 tie.
The five Dragon seniors were honored before the game -- defender
Dayla Miller, defender
Kaylee Parsons, goalkeeper
Kayleigh Sedlacek, forward
Anna Steadland and defender
Jennifer Wickman.
Sedlacek had 15 saves in the game and survived some pressure to hold St. Cloud State to one goal.
It is the second time in the 28-game series the two teams have tied; the Dragons have never beaten St. Cloud State in soccer.

Christie Kopietz said. "I'm really happy with can honor the seniors like that."
MSUM wraps up the 2021 season at home on Friday against Northern State.
