The Minnesota State University Moorhead football team is on the road for two straight weeks, starting this Saturday at Minot State. Game time is 2 p.m. at Herb Parker Stadium in Minot.
MSUM is 2-3 on the year after falling to No. 22 Minnesota Duluth, 26-21 in the final seconds. Minot State (0-5) dropped a 49-35 contest at Bemidji State last weekend.Â

About MSUM
MSUM fell to 2-3 on the year with a tough 26-21 homecoming loss to No. 22 Minnesota Duluth on Oct. 2. MSUM led 21-20 in the fourth quarter but UMD scored with two seconds left to take the win. Freshman quarterback Tommy Falk threw for two touchdowns for MSUM while senior linebacker Matt Schoh had a game-high 13 tackles for the defense.Â
Falk has completed 123-of-196 passes for 1,607 yards and 13 touchdowns while senior receiver Grady Bresnahan has 41 catches for 554 yards and six scores. Sophomore receiver Ryan Bieberdorf has 30 catches for 500 yards and three scores.
On the ground freshman running back Luke Imdieke has 128 rushing yards.
MSUM scores 23.4 points per game and records 359.6 yards per game of total offense.Â
Schoh leads the defense with 45 tackles while senior safety Shad Vedaa has 37 and freshman linebacker Josiah Behm has 36. Senior defensive end Derek Porozinski and sophomore defensive back Jake Bettcher have two sacks each while sophomore safety Jared Kallenbach and freshman cornerback Cody Sorenson have two interceptions each.
The Dragons allow 29.0 points per game and 400.8 yards per game of total offense.
About Minot State
Minot State fell to 0-5 on the year with a 49-35 loss at Bemidji State. The Beavers were down 22-0 early but battled to within 43-35 in the fourth quarter before falling short. Dawson Macleary threw for 408 yards and three touchdowns in the loss.
Macleary has thrown for 607 yards and three touchdowns on the season. Ali Mohamed has 468 yards rushing and a score. Nathan Young has 24 catches for 267 yards and a score.
Minot State scores 11.0 points per game and records 289.8 yards per game of total offense.
On defense Kyle VanBerkom has 36 tackles to lead the Minot defense. Roma'n Grissett has 24 tackles and an interception.
Minot State is allowing 52.6 points per game and giving up 530 yards per game of total offense.Â

Senior linebacker Matt Schow (pronounced Show) is having a big year for the Dragon defense. He has a team-best 45 tackles and is second in the NSIC at 9.0 tackles per game. Schoh had his first interception of the season in the Sept. 25 win over Upper Iowa.
Grady Grabs Record
Senior Grady Bresnahan became MSUM's all-time leader in receptions during Saturday's win vs. Upper Iowa. He finished with eight catches and after recording two catches last week vs. UMD, has 220 for his career. Bresnahan is third all-time in receiving yards and receiving touchdowns at MSUM as well. Bresnahan is eighth in the nation in receiving yards (554), seventh in receptions per game (8.2) and 10th in receiving yards per game (110.8).

Three Dragon receivers surpassed 100 receiving yards in the win over Upper Iowa, which is a first in the 10-year tenure of the Steve Laqua coaching era. Sophomore Ryan Bieberdorf had eight catches for 141 yards and a score; junior Trent Marquart had eight catches for 103 yards while senior Grady Bresnahan had eight catches for 101 yards and two scores.

Freshman quarterback Tommy Falk has only made five collegiate starts but has been on target so far. He is fourth in all of Division II in passing yards (1,607) and sixth in passing yards per game (321.4) and is 12th in completions per game (24.6).
