MOORHEAD, Minn. – Junior women's basketball player Peyton Boom and sophomore men's basketball Dane Zimmer have been named the Minnesota State University Moorhead Athletes of the Week presented by Buffalo Wild Wings for the week of Nov. 22-28.
 
A native of Barnesville, Boom averaged 14.9 points and 7.1 rebounds per game in the Dragon women's three games last week to raiser her average to 14.8 points per game. She was 20-of-39 from the floor. Boom had her first double-double of the season with 21 points and 13 rebounds in a 69-60 win over Montana State-Billings on Saturday.
 
A native of Hopkins, Minn., Zimmer averaged 18.0 points and 10.1 rebounds per game, helping the Dragons to a 2-1 record last week. Zimmer had 19 points and a career-high 17 rebounds in a loss to Sioux Falls on Saturday. Against Northern State on Nov. 23, Zimmer had 17 points and 12 rebounds. He has four double-doubles on the season.
