MOORHEAD, Minn. – Minnesota State University Moorhead volleyball coach Bob Jones has announced the signing of Macie Wieman of Sparta, Wis., for the fall of 2022.
 
Wieman is a 5-foot-9 libero/defensive specialist who recently completed a stellar career at Reedsburg High School in Wisconsin.
 
"We are very excited to welcome Macie to the Dragon volleyball family," Jones said. "Macie comes to MSU Moorhead after a great prep career and she brings a well-rounded skill set to our program both in the front row and back court.  She recorded more than 1,000 kills and 1000 digs during her high school career.  Macie will add to our depth in our defensive specialist/libero position."
 
Wieman was second team all-state as a senior, and was first-team all-conference as well. She was a three-time team MVP and two-time team captain.  Wieman was honorable mention all-conference as a freshman and a sophomore as well.
 
Wieman finished her career with 1,070 kills and 1,456 career digs.
