ABERDEEN, S.D. — The Minnesota State University Moorhead women's soccer team was edged by Nebraska-Kearney, 1-0 in the regular season opener for both teams on Thursday in Aberdeen, S.D.

MSUM fell to 0-1 on the season while UNK improved to 1-0.

The Dragons had a 20-9 edge in shots, including 10-4 in shots on goal, but couldn't break through for the needed tying goal.
