The MSUM volleyball team concludes its five-match homestand this week with a pair matches against Northern Sun Intercollegiate Conference opponents. The Dragons host No. 6 Southwest Minnesota State at 6 p.m. on Friday and Sioux Falls at 3:30 p.m. on Saturday.
The MSUM volleyball team is 1-12 on the season and 1-4 in the NSIC after losses to then-No. 6 Concordia St. Paul and Minnesota State University Mankato last week. The Dragons are 1-2 on the homestand so far and after this weekend, will play four in a row on the road.
Junior outside hitter Amanda Carlson leads the team in kills with 153. Junior outside hitter Bridget Witzmann has 68.
Freshman setter Halle Erickson has 180 assists while freshman Kelly Klees has 117.
Carlson and senior libero Sarah Petrbok lead the team in service aces with 16 each.
Petrbok has 208 digs while junior middle blocker Elise Bakke has 31 total blocks.
Bob Jones is in his first season as the head coach at MSUM.

Southwest Minnesota State University is 12-1 on the season and 4-1 in the NSIC after a loss to St. Cloud State and a five-set victory over Minnesota Duluth last week. Senior Angela Young leads the team in kills with 183, followed by junior Meg Schmidt with 146. Junior Rachel Fink leads the team in service aces with 22. Terry Culhane is in his 18th season as head coach at Southwest Minnesota State University.

The University of Sioux Falls is 7-6 on the season and 2-3 in the NSIC after losses to St. Cloud State and Minnesota State Duluth last week. Senior Averey Yaksich leads the team in kills with 200 kill. sophomore Nicole Jacobson leads the team in service aces with 20. Dan Mathews is in his first season as head coach at the University of Sioux Falls.
