PREVIEW: Senior Night Highlights Dragon Homestand

The MSUM volleyball team will host St. Cloud State University at 6 p.m. on Friday, and Minnesota Duluth at 2 p.m. on Saturday this week. These two games will be the last home games of the 2022 regular season for the Dragons.

Senior Night

The Dragons will honor their five seniors before the match on Friday against St. Cloud State. 

The Seniors

Elise Bakke (2018-2022): A middle blocker from Fargo, N.D., who is a three-time member of the NSIC All-Academic Team of Excellence that has racked up 187 career blocks.

Amanda Carlson (2018-2022): An outside hitter from Phoeniz, Ariz., who was named to the All-NSIC Second Team as a junior and has 819 career kills as a Dragon.

Teeya Doppler (2019-2022): A right side hitter from Detroit Lakes, Minn., who has 77 blocks and 249 total points for her career.

Brooke Walthall (2019-2022): An outside/right-hitter from Moorhead, Minn., who has totaled 440 digs in 191 sets played in her career thus far.

Morgan Cleveland (2019-2022): A setter from Canby, Minn., who has 84 digs for her career and is a two-time NSIC All-Academic Team of Excellence member.

The Dragons are 7-17 on the regular season and 4-12 against NSIC opponents after defeating Minot State University and the University of Mary last weekend. MSUM fell to Northern State on Tuesday of this week.

Junior Bridget Witzmann leads the team in kills with 268. Freshman Emily Skalicky leads the team in assists with 583. Senior Elise Bakke leads the team in total blocks with 58, followed closely by junior Tori Thompson with 47.
            
Bob Jones is in his second season as head coach at Minnesota State University Moorhead.  

About St. Cloud 
            
The Huskies are 19-5 on the regular season and 11-5 against NSIC opponents after defeating Minnesota Crookston and falling to Minnesota Duluth in their last two contests. Senior Kenzie Foley leads the team in kills with 320. Freshman Emma Berran leads the team in assists with 839. Senior Phebie Rossi leads the team in blocks with 107. Chad Braegelmann is in his eighth season as head coach at St. Cloud State.

About Minnesota Duluth 
           
The Bulldogs are 22-2 on the regular season and 14-2 against NSIC opponents after defeating Bemidji State University and St. Cloud State. Junior Cianna Selbitschka leads the team in kills with 272, followed closely by fifth-year Sydney Lanoue with 259. Senior Madison Gordon leads the team in assists with 989. Jim Boos is in his 20th season as head coach at Minnesota Duluth.
