ST. PAUL, Minn. -- Dragon senior center Peyton Boom has been named the NSIC North Division Player of the Week. This comes after Boom was named Most Outstanding Player at the Rollins College Thanksgiving Tournament with the Dragons winning the tournament in Winter Park, Fla.

Boom opened up her weekend by scoring 10 points and grabbing four rebounds in MSUM's win over Rollins College on Friday afternoon. The senior would respond on Saturday with a 22-point, 11-rebound and three block performance against Holy Family University. MSUM would defeat the Tigers to win the Rollins College Thanksgiving Tournament. Boom was named to the all-tournament team and the most outstanding player at the tournament.

For the weekend, Boom averaged 16 points and 7.5 rebounds in the two Dragon victories. What is more impressive was Boom's 68.1 shooting percentage over the two games. Through five games this season, the Barnesville, Minn., native is averaging 14.8 points and 7.6 rebounds per contest on a 60 percent shooting clip. Her double-double against Holy Family was her second of the season.
