MOORHEAD, Minn. -- The MSUM men's basketball team will host their first home game of the season against Minot State at 7:30 p.m. on Thursday, then travel to Bismarck, N.D., to face the University of Mary at 4 p.m. on Saturday.

The Dragons are 5-2 on the regular season and 0-1 against NSIC opponents after defeating Colorado State-Pueblo and New Mexico Highlands last weekend. The Dragons lost their lone NSIC contest to Northern State last Tuesday. Sophomore Jacob Beeninga leads the team in points per game with 16.3, followed closely by senior Lorenzo McGhee with 15.4 points per game. Senior Gavin Baumgartner leads the team in assists per game with 4.2. Baumgartner also leads in steals per game with 1.3. 
           
 Tim Bergstraser is in his first season as head coach at Minnesota State University Moorhead. 

About Minot State 
          
The Beavers are 3-2 on the regular season and 0-1 against NSIC opponents after defeating New Mexico Highlands and Colorado State-Pueblo last weekend. Redshirt S\senior Cam'ron Dunfee leads the team in points per game with 13.6. Freshman Caleb Van De Griend leads the team in rebounds per game with 9. Matt Murken is in his eleventh season as head coach at Minot State. 

About UMary 
            
The Marauders are 4-0 on the regular season and 1-0 against NSIC opponents after defeating Trevecca Nazarene University and University of Puerto Rico-Bayamon last weekend. Junior Zyon Smith leads the team in points per game with 12.8, followed closely by junior Gertautas Urbonavicius with 10.3 points per game. Freshman Jeremiah Jones leads with 8.3 rebounds per game. Jack Nelson is in his first season as head coach at UMary.
