MANKATO, Minn. – No. 18 ranked Minnesota State swept a doubleheader from Minnesota State University Moorhead on Sunday, beating the Dragons 18-1 and 8-2 in Mankato, Minn.
In the opener, MSUM managed two hits, including a triple by senior center fielder
Jordey Smith and a base hit from freshman shortstop
Annika Norman. Sophomore
Evey Evans scored a run.

Reece Dahl took the loss for MSUM, giving up three earned runs in 1.2 innings. Freshman
Emma Abbott pitched the final 2.1 innings.
In Game 2, Norman was 1-for-3 with two RBI to lead the Dragons at the plate; her two-run double in the first gave the Dragons a 2-0 lead. Freshman pitcher
Avery Steffen was 1-for-3 with a run scored while freshman second baseman
Hannah Losee scored a run.
Steffen took the loss for MSUM, giving up six earned runs in 3.2 innings. She struck out two. Evans gave up two runs in 2.1 innings of work.
MSUM will host Minot State on Tuesday for a doubleheader beginning at 2 p.m. The Dragons will be the visiting team in both games as the games were supposed to be held in Minot but because of weather conditions were moved to Moorhead.
