MOORHEAD, Minn. -- The MSU Moorhead men's basketball team will travel to Fayette, Iowa, for a matchup against the Peacocks at 5:30 p.m. on Friday, then travel to Winona, Minn., for a matchup against the Warriors at 3:30 p.m. on Saturday this weekend.
The Dragons are 17-3 on the regular season and 12-2 against NSIC opponents after defeating Concordia St. Paul and Minnesota State Mankato last weekend. Sophomore
Jacob Beeninga leads the team in points per game with 18.1. The sophomore is on a three-game stretch of scoring 20 or more points, including two games of 30 or more points. Beeninga also leads the team in steals per game with 1.6.
Junior
Dane Zimmer leads the team in rebounds per game with 8.1. Senior
Gavin Baumgartner leads the team in assists per game with 4.3. Baumgartner is 12 points shy of passing Kevin Mulder for fourth on MSUM's all-time scoring list.
Tim Bergstraser is in his first season as head coach at Minnesota State University Moorhead.
About Upper Iowa
The Peacocks are 12-8 on the regular season and 9-5 against NSIC opponents after defeating the University of Mary and Minot State University last weekend. Senior Jake Hilmer leads the team in points per game with 20.7. Hilmer also leads in assists per game with 5.2. Junior Nick Reid leads the team in rebounds per game with 9.1. Brooks McKowen is in his tenth season as head coach at Upper Iowa.

The Warriors are 11-8 on the regular season and 6-8 against NSIC opponents after defeating Minot State University and falling to the University of Mary last weekend.
