MOORHEAD, Minn. -- MSU Moorhead swimming and diving will host its second home dual in as many weeks as the Dragons will welcome Northern State to Nemzek Pool on Friday. Events are scheduled to begin at 4 p.m.

MSUM collected their first dual win of the season last Friday with a 199-90 victory of the University of Mary. The Dragons collected 13 of 16 events in the meet en route to an impressive all-around performance from the team. 

The Dragons would win both the 400-yard freestyle and 200-yard medley relays in the meet against the Marauders. The team of Lacie Stark, Linnea Edgren, Ruth Pavelski and Demi-Lee Carlisle would win the 200-yard medley with a time of 1:50.19, led by Pavelski's 25.98 in the fly portion of the relay. That mark would have been a new Nemzek Pool record had it not happened in a relay format. Pavelski was also a member of the winning 400-yard freestyle team while taking home individual wins in the 50-yard and 100-yard flys. Her 26.32 time in the 50-yard fly was one-tenth of a second off the Nemzek Pool record. 

Linnea Edgren took home wins in the 200-yard IM and 100-yard breaststroke at the meet, clocking a 1:12.41 in the 100-yard breastroke. Demi-Lee Carlisle won both short freestyle events, with times of 25.24 in the 50-yard free and 55.66 in the 100-yard free. Lacie Stark and Kelsey Jackson swept the backstroke events with Stark swimming a 27.94 in the 50-yard backstroke. Freshman Sophia Verke won the 200-yard freestyle with a mark of 2:01.22.

In diving, Isabelle Johnson won both 1M and 3M diving with scores of 191.25 in 1M and 196.25 in 3M. 

Charlie King is in his sixth season as MSUM head coach.
