BEMIDJI, Minn. -- MSU Moorhead soccer fell victim to a Bemidji State goal in the 49th minute as the Beavers lone goal would prove to be the difference maker through 90 minutes on a chilly evening in Bemidji.
MSUM would get one shot off in the first period as
Brooklyn Broderick would put a shot on in the 16th minute. On the other end, Bemidji State would put eight shots on in the first 45 minutes with three making it on goal. MSUM goalkeeper
Simone Lewald would save all three shots to keep the two teams even through the first frame.
A similar trend occurred in the second half as the Beavers would manage six total shots in the half with three more shots reaching goal. Bemidji State would break the scoreless tie early in the second half, scoring off the foot of Katrina Barthelt in the 49th minute. The Bemidji State defense would showcase its ability throughout the rest of the contest as they would hold the Dragons shotless in the final 45 minutes.
