Preview: MSUM Back at Nemzek to Host Bulldogs and Huskies

MOORHEAD, Minn. -- The MSU Moorhead men's basketball will host Minnesota Duluth at 5:30 p.m. on Friday, then host St. Cloud State University at 3:30 p.m. on Saturday this weekend. 
            
The Dragons are 18-4 on the regular season and 13-3 against NSIC opponents after defeating Winona State and falling to Upper Iowa last weekend. Sophomore Jacob Beeninga leads the team in points per game with 17.9. Beeninga also leads the team in steals per game with 1.5. Junior Dane Zimmer leads the team in rebounds per game with 8.2. Senior Gavin Baumgartner leads the team in assists per game with 4.2. 

MSUM is currently ranked 19th in the latest NABC Coaches' Poll and 17th in this week's D2SIDA Media Poll. The Dragons are listed as the third team in the latest D2SIDA Central Region rankings as well.
            
Tim Bergstraser is in her first season as head coach at Minnesota State University Moorhead.

About Minnesota Duluth 

The Bulldogs are 15-7 on the regular season and 11-5 against NSIC opponents after defeating Wayne State and falling to Augustana University last weekend. Redshirt senior Drew Blair leads the team in points per game with 20.1. Blair also leads the team in assists per game with 2.5. Junior Austin Andrews leads the team in rebounds per game with 6.5. Justin Wieck is in his fifth season as head coach at Minnesota Duluth. 

About St. Cloud State

The Huskies are 7-14  on the regular season and 4-12 against NSIC opponents after falling to Augustana University and Wayne State last weekend. Junior Matthew Willert leads the team in points per game with 14.3. Junior Tommy Chatman leads the team in rebounds per game with 5.2. Fifth-year student Ryan Bagley leads the team in assists per game with 4.9. Quincy Henderson is in his first season as head coach at St. Cloud State.
