MOORHEAD, Minn. -- The MSU Moorhead men's basketball team readies for their final games of the 2023 regular season. The Dragons will travel to Minot, N.D. to compete against the Beavers at 5:30 p.m. on Thursday, then return to host the UMary Marauders at 3:30 p.m. on Saturday.
The Dragons are 20-6 on the regular season and 15-5 against NSIC opponents after defeating Minnesota Crookston and falling to Bemidji State last weekend. Sophomore
Jacob Beeninga leads the team in points per game with 17.9. Beeninga also leads the Dragons in steals per game with 1.5. Junior
Dane Zimmer leads the team in rebounds per game with 8.2, he is currently 15 rebounds short of 700 for his career. Senior
Gavin Baumgartner leads the team in assists per game with 4.3. Entering Thursday's game with the Beavers,
Lorenzo McGhee is 14 points shy of 1,000 for his MSUM career.
Tim Bergstraser is in his first season as head coach at Minnesota State University Moorhead.

The Beavers are 10-14 on the regular season and 7-13 against NSIC opponents after falling to St. Cloud State University and Minnesota Duluth last weekend. Junior Khari Broadway leads the team in points per game with 14. Sophomore Connor Hollenback leads the team in rebounds per game with 5.8. Matt Murken is in his 11th season as head coach at Minot State University.
