BURNSVILLE, Minn. -- Senior
Peyton Boom has been named to the All-NSIC First Team with junior
Mariah McKeever named to the All-NSIC Second Team.
McKeever led the Dragons in points per game in 2022-23, scoring 15.5 per contest and a career-high 419 total points by season's end. The junior also had a career-high 183 rebounds this season for a 6.8 per game mark. She finished the year with 45 steals and shot 37.9 percent from the floor for MSUM. It is McKeever's first trip to the all-conference list.Â
Boom makes it four consecutive years where she has been named to an all-conference team. She is now a three-time All-NSIC First Team selection along with a one-time All-NSIC Second Team selection. The senior also made the NSIC All-Freshman Team in 2018-19. Boom scored 14.4 (360 total)Â points per game in 2022-23 to go along with a career-high rebound average of 7.9 per game (198 total). The Barnesville, Minn., native shot 56.2 percent from the field in her senior season.
The Dragons finished their season on Wednesday night, falling to Concordia-St. Paul in the NSIC Women's Basketball Tournament First Round.
