Game One

Avery Steffen would come on in relief of
Reece Dahl in the second inning and would stifle the Wolves from then on. Steffen would pitch four and two third innings of shutout ball with seven strikeouts. However, Northern State would knot the game at three thanks to a solo home run off of Steffen in the top of the seventh. Steffen would surrender another home run in the same inning as the Wolves moved in front 4-3.
With the game on the line in the bottom of the seventh, MSUM needed to plate one run to tie and another to win.
Eliyah McCarthy would lead off the inning with a double to put a tying run in scoring position with nobody out. McCarthy would advance to third on a fielder's choice, bringing Gallagher to the plate. The freshman would proceed to blast her second home run of the game to left field, driving in McCarthy and herself to secure a 5-4 win for MSUM.
Game Two
Northern State would jump on top early with a second-inning RBI single. MSUM would take advantage of a Wolves error to tie the game at one. Gallagher would then hit her third home run of the day, a three-run shot to center to bring the Dragons in front 4-1. MSUM would collect two more unearned runs to push the score to 6-1.
Annika Norman would get an RBI in the bottom of the fourth on a groundout to score
Jordey Smith, taking the score to 7-1 in favor of MSUM.
To that point in the game,
Azalya Lopez was strong in the circle for MSUM, surrendering just five hits and striking out four Wolves. Northern State would plate three runs in the top of the fifth to inch closer to MSUM.
