MOORHEAD, Minn. -- MSU Moorhead wrestling will return to their home mat this week for a Thursday night dual with Minnesota State. Action begins at 7 p.m. from Nemzek Fieldhouse.
MSUM is coming off a harsh stretch of duals as the Dragons fell to 17th-ranked Augustana, 12th-ranked Upper Iowa and 24th-ranked Southwest Minnesota State this past weekend. The Dragons were led by 157 pounder
Cody Wienen in the dual against the Vikings as he would earn a pinfall victory at 6:12. MSUM's remaining team points in the dual were scored by
Airin Spell, who earned an injury default victory. Against Upper Iowa later in the day,
Thomas Carrillo would collect a 2-1 decision win before
Jacob Reinardy grabbed a decision win of his own at 165 pounds.
In the dual against the Mustangs, MSUM was once again led by Carrillo, who earned a first period tech fall at 2:59.
Hunter Hayes won his 141 pound matchup, narrowly missing a major decision with an 8-1 score.
