ABERDEEN, S.D. -- MSU Moorhead swimming & diving remained perfect in duals this season with a 142-79 win over Northern State on Saturday afternoon. The victory is MSUM's seventh in a row.
Isabelle Johnson shined on Saturday, registering an NCAA qualifying score of 406.65 in 1-meter diving. Johnson won the 11-dive event with the performance.
Zoe Bjerke (372) and
Ruth Guy (344.85) finished third and fourth respectively.
In the pool, MSUM's 200-yard medley relay team of
Demi-Lee Carlisle,
Rose Urick,
Ruth Pavelski and
Joanna Phillips would win with a time of 1:53.47. The team of
Lacie Stark,
Linnea Edgren,
Fernanda Leon and
Sophia Verke would finish runner-up with a mark of 1:55.33. To close the dual, MSUM's 400-yard freestyle squad of Carlisle, Pavelski, Verke and
Maggie Moore would win with a time of 3:42.37.
Cami Mayo would win the 1000-yard freestyle behind a time of 11:15.86 with teammate
Taylor Cook placing third with a mark of 12:14.63. Mayo would also win the 500-yard freestyle with a time of 5:31.36.
Maggie Moore would place runner-up in the 200-yard freestyle, touching the wall at 2:01.24. Phillips placed fifth in the same race behind a time of 2:09.11. Verke would claim victory in the 50-yard freestyle with a winning time of 25.55 with
Lily Lengerich placing fourth with a time of 26.75.
Fernanda Leon would win the 200-yard IM for the Dragons, swimming a solid mark of 2:14.11, winning by over eight seconds. Leon would also win the 100-yard fly with a time of 59.52 with Pavelski finishing runner-up at 1:00.68. Carlisle would win the 100-yard backstroke, finishing with a time of 1:00.73. Teammates Stark (1:03.57) and
Kelsey Jackson (1:04.33) placed second and third respectively.
Rose Urick would pick up a victory in the 100-yard breaststroke, clocking a 1:09.92. Edgren would place third with a time of 1:15.51.
