MOORHEAD, Minn. -- Minnesota State Moorhead volleyball is set for a busy week of NSIC action with three matches on the docket. The Dragons travel to take on Minnesota Crookston at 6 p.m. on Tuesday before hosting Sioux Falls (6 p.m.) and Southwest Minnesota State (2 p.m.) on Friday and Saturday.
Live video and stats will be available at msumdragons.com. Moorhead is coming off a 1-1 week in the NSIC play, defeating Bemidji State last Thursday before falling to Minnesota Duluth on Saturday afternoon.
Another On The Ledger...Thursday's victory over Bemidji State marked MSUM's 12th win of the 2025 season. The win total is now the highest since the 2015 season when the Dragons went 16-12 overall. This season is also the second straight year Moorhead has improved its overall win total.
Raiah Is Rockin'...Junior
Raiah Mandell turned another strong showing in the four-set win over Bemidji State on Thursday. Mandell logged 18 kills behind an impressive .452 hitting clip. The kill total was one shy of Mandell's career-best as the Mounds View, Minn., native has tallied a team-best 218 kills so far this season.
Laqua Shines Again...Sophomore middle blocker
Leah Laqua turned in a superb showing against Bemidji State last week. Laqua totaled 13 kills in the Dragon victory, stamping an unconscious .619 hitting percentage for the match. The sophomore also added a pair of block solos for the Dragons. So far this season, Laqua leads the Dragons with 37 total blocks.
Fitting Right In...True freshman
Brooke Bowen has been tasked with much of the libero work over the past several matches for MSUM. Bowen was pivotal in the win over Bemidji State last Thursday with 20 total digs in the match. However, Bowen shined behind the service line, dropping home five aces in the victory.
That's Another Double-Double...Junior
Maci Martini has had a prowess for the double-double so far this season with the Pequot Lakes, Minn., native logging another against Bemidji State. Martini had 11 kills to go along with 13 digs in the Dragon win, securing her fourth double-double of the season. Martini leads the team with 237 digs so far this season.
Kari Thompson is in her third season as MSUM's head volleyball coach.
