CROOKSTON, Minn. – Minnesota State Moorhead soccer created chances, but ultimately fell short in the 2025 season finale against Minnesota Crookston. The Golden Eagles defeated the Dragons, 2-0.

The Golden Eagles would be the first to strike just after the 10-minute mark, scoring at 10:19. Shortly after,
Lilly Johnson would have a shot on net that was saved by Minnesota Crookston goalkeeper Jordan Metz.
Ana Cecilia Walker would have a chance just ahead of the 20-minute mark, but the shot would miss left.
Minnesota Crookston would score again before halftime, logging a goal at 35:03.
Sophie Thompson would register a shot on net late in the half with Metz making the stop. Moorhead would control the attack throughout the second half. Thompson and Johnson would have shots on net early in the half that required saves from Metz.
Brooklyn Broderick would have a nice pair of chances midway through the half but would not be able to put one away. Sophomore
Madison Sharp would log a shot on net late in the half off a freekick, but Metz would make a save. Minnesota Crookston would hold on to win by the 2-0 count. Moorhead held the Golden Eagles to just three total shots in the final 45 minutes.
MSUM finishes the season 3-14-1 with a 2-13 mark in NSIC competition.
