ST. PAUL, Minn. -- Minnesota State Moorhead volleyball ran into a strong attack from ninth-ranked Concordia-St. Paul on Saturday afternoon. The Dragons were bested by the Golden Bears in three sets.
It was the Dragons who opened up the match on a high note, earning a 5-3 lead through the first eight rallies.

Raiah Mandell all stamped kills early on for Moorhead. The Golden Bears would go on to claim a 10-7 lead not long after with the Dragons coming back within a point after an ace from
Maci Martini. Concordia-St. Paul would go on to stretch their back to six points (18-12), eventually leading 24-13 after a 10-1 burst. The home club would win the set, 25-14.
The Golden Bears would continue that strong pace into the second set, building a 13-7 lead before MSUM cut the deficit to four points after a kill from
Ruby Bones. Trailing 13-9, Moorhead would see the Golden Bears score on nine of 11 rallies to take a commanding 22-11 advantage. Moorhead would come back within 10 points before CSP finished off the set, winning 25-12. The Golden Bears would score the first six points of the third set, eventually leading 10-2. Midway through the set, Moorhead trailed 14-3. While the Dragons would respond with four straight points from there, CSP's lead would still stand at seven points. Concordia-St. Paul would push their lead back to 10 points with points waning in the set. The Golden Bears would put the finsihing touches on the match to win, 25-12.
