MOORHEAD, Minn. -- MSU Moorhead men's basketball enters the NCAA Central Region Tournament on Saturday, March 15 in a matchup with Fort Hays State. Tipoff from Lee Arena in Topeka, Kan., is slated for 2:30 p.m.

Matchup History...The Dragons and Tigers have only matched up once in the last 10 seasons. MSUM last played Fort Hays State on November 15, 2014, defeating the Tigers by a 83-71 count as part of the Northwest Missouri State Classic. The Saturday tilt between the two teams will be just the second meeting all-time.Â
Last Time Out...MSUM secured its third NSIC Tournament victory in four seasons after a 78-66 win over Minot State.

Jacob Jennissen were all named to the All-NSIC team on Thursday. Kinsey and Johnson were tabbed as First Team performers while Jennissen was a Second Team honoree. It is the first all-conference honor for all three student-athletes.Â
Bergy In The Postseason...MSUM head men's basketball coach
Tim Bergstraser will embark on his third NCAA Tournament on Saturday. Throughout his short tenure, Bergstraser as already collected 73 career wins and has seen success in the NSIC Tournament. Bergstraser is 6-1 at the Sanford Pentagon in the NSIC Tournament. In the NCAA Central Region Tournament, Bergstraser is 1-2 after collecting his first national tournament victory against Pittsburg State last season (73-55).Â
CJ Is Unconscious...Freshman guard
Carson Johnson was lethal throughout the NSIC Tournament. Johnson averaged a staggering 26 points per game in the tournament. More impressively, Johnson connected on 50.9 percent of his field goal attempts in three games. This included sinking 47.6 percent of his three-point looks.Â
JaM Feelin' Nicey...Senior guard
JaMir Price had a stellar performance for the Dragons in the NSIC Tournament championship against Minot State. Price used a seven-point spurt late in the first half to give MSUM its first lead of the contest. In total, Price scored 16 points on 60 percent shooting with five rebounds.Â
Can He Get There...Entering the NCAA Central Region Tournament,
Logan Kinsey sits at 953 career points as a Dragon. Kinsey has scored a career-best 464 points so far this season.Â
Quick Scout...Fort Hays State was able to win the MIAA Tournament this past weekend behind their star Kaleb Hammeke. The graduate student guard averaged 20.6 points per game in the tournament and bolsters a team-best 16.5 points per game. Hammeke was named an All-MIAA First Team performer while sophomore guard Kyle Grill was named All-MIAA Honorable Mention. Grill averages 11.6 points per game. Hammeke and senior forward Shaun Riley were also named to the MIAA All-Defensive Team.
