SPRINGFIELD, Mo. – MSU Moorhead softball fell in their final game of the Drury Softball Classic on Sunday morning. The Rangers defeated the Dragons 10-0 in five innings.
Parkside would jump on the board in the second inning, scoring a pair of runs on Dragon starter
Eliya Johnson. As MSUM would be held in check at the plate in the home half, Parkside would only continue to see success. The Rangers scored four more runs in the top of the third to take a commanding 6-0 lead. MSUM would be held hitless in the same stretch.
The top of the fourth inning saw Parkside plate four more runs to take a 10-0 lead. In the home half, MSUM got its first baserunner as
Jessie Henry worked out a leadoff walk before stealing second base. Henry would get to third base after
Annika Norman would reach base on a fielder's choice. However, neither player would come across to score. Parkside would keep the score at 10-0 through five innings to invoke the run rule. Ranger starter Ellie Curtis pitched a five inning no-hitter with two walks and three strikeouts.
