SIOUX FALLS, S.D. – MSU Moorhead tennis saw the 2024-25 season come to a close on Saturday afternoon in the NSIC Tournament Semifinals. The Dragons were defeated by top-seeded Augustana, 4-0.
It was the Vikings who would earn the team doubles point, securing wins at the number two and three positions. The team of
Luzmary Diaz Castillo and
Shaelyn Johnson would not see an end to their tilt, but the pair trailed 4-2 before the match was deemed unfinished. Augustana would collect straight set victories at number one, four and six positions to claim the match by a 4-0 score. Before the remaining matches were suspended,
Katryna Hansen was in a battle with Gabriela Jancikova. The sophomore dropped the first set 6-0, but only trailed 3-4 in the second set. Diaz Castillo and
Tiannah Gu also had singles bouts that went unfinished.
