Gage Florence Selected to Attend College Gridiron Showcase

FORT WORTH, Texas -- Minnesota State Moorhead senior wide receiver Gage Florence has accepted an invitation to the College Gridiron Showcase (CGS), a college football all-star event scheduled for January 9-11 in Fort Worth, Texas. The event will offer Florence an opportunity to network and compete in front of professional scouts across the game of football. 

Florence was nominated by Bauer's Elite Training in Sioux Falls, S.D., where Florence is doing professional training. The College Gridiron Showcase is a three-day event where prospects will meet directly with professional football executives across several leagues, including the NFL and CFL. Players will check in on Friday, January 9 and will engage in numerous meetings with these high-level officials. Day two will see players participate in a OTA-style drills as well as one-on-one positional work. The final day will include a scrimmage featuring the CGS all-star selections. The College Gridiron Showcase has served as a starting post for many prospects, with several earning invites to major college all-star events at the request of scouts. 

Florence, Sawyer, N.D., native earned All-America selections by four separate entities (AFCA, D2CCA, Don Hansen and D2Football.com) following a historic 2025 season. The senior made his second trip to the D2CAA All-Region team in 2025 while also earning his third All-NSIC honor. Florence made 105 catches this past season, a mark that led the NSIC and the NCAA. Florence set a career-high in receiving yardage, tallying 1,002 yards, including a career-best 12 touchdown receptions. Per game, Florence averaged 9.5 catches per game, with a season-best 17 receptions against Northern Michigan on August 28. Florence set a new NCAA Division II record for career receptions in 2025, completing his career with 402 career catches. He also owns the NSIC and MSUM records for career receptions.




About College Gridiron Showcase

The FIRST Major all-star event of the college football post-season, top college senior players, selected by a panel of football experts, will be invited to College Gridiron Showcase & Symposium to be held in Fort Worth, Texas. Since our 2015 inaugural event, more than 900 CGS participants have been offered pro opportunities. At the College Gridiron Showcase, scouts from 31 of the 32 NFL teams, CFL teams, and other professional leagues are on hand to evaluate and meet with our players. In total, participants have the opportunity to show their stuff to more than 150 professional scouts! The first all-star event to implement an OTA format, CGS showcases players through practices and a controlled scrimmage with professional coaches. Players will also perform individual and team drills, participate in 1-on-1s, attend meetings, and, in many cases have the opportunity for personal interviews with scouts and executives. In addition to exposure to scouts, CGS provides participants with a strong professional football education component that includes mentoring, life coaching, and seminars that will benefit them as they move forward in their professional lives in or outside of football. Seminars related to financial education, the life of a professional athlete, and on-and off-field player expectations are offered. Family seminars are also available.
