Highway 75 Rivalry Rock On the Line for MSUM Versus UMC

| By:
MOORHEAD, Minn. -- Minnesota State Moorhead soccer will look to retain the Highway 75 Rivalry Rock in the 2026 regular season finale versus Minnesota Crookston on Thursday. Kickoff from Fargo Parks Sports Center in Fargo, N.D., is slated for 1 p.m.

Live video and stats will be available at msumdragons.com. Please note that this contest was initially scheduled to be played in Moorhead, but was moved inside to the Fargo Parks Sports Center earlier this month. The contest will now officially be a neutral site game between the Dragons and Golden Eagles with free admission and spectator seating at the indoor venue. Moorhead (3-12-2, 2-11-1 NSIC) is coming off a pair of losses last week to Minot State (2-0) and UMary (6-0).

Matchup History...Moorhead regained control of the Highway 75 Rivalry Rock following a 1-0 win over UMC on August 31. The Golden Eagles had won the last two meetings with the Dragons, including a 2-0 victory to conclude the 2025 season. Prior to last year, Moorhead had retained the Rivalry Rock Trophy seven of the last eight meetings. In total, MSUM is 7-6-2 all-time in Highway 75 Rivalry Rock games. The Golden Eagles won the first-ever match for the trophy on October 12, 2013, topping MSUM 2-1 in Moorhead. Since the 2008 season, the Dragons are 12-7-2 against Minnesota Crookston.

Highway 75 Rivalry Rock History...The Highway 75 Rivalry Rock trophy is the lone traveling trophy in NSIC soccer after its establishment ahead of the 2013 season. The two schools are just a short 69 mile drive from one another with both institutions using Minnesota State Highway 75 to travel. At the time of its inception, Dragon head soccer coach Rollie Bullock said "Minnesota Crookston and the Dragons have been rivals for a long time. It just feels natural for someone to walk away with a trophy with this rivalry. The trophy is something to play for and it gets the players excited for that upcoming game."

Kristensen Goes Over The Century Mark...Sophomore goalkeeper Emilia Bukholt Kristensen made her 100th save of the season last weekend for MSUM. In total, Kristensen has made 103 saves so far this season, a mark that leads the Northern Sun. The Poulstrup, Denmark, native holds a .741 save percentage and three clean sheets this season. Kristensen is also currently on pace to break MSUM's single-season record for minutes played by a goalkeeper (Kayleigh Sedlace, 1,580).

Tick Tick Tick...Fifth-year Lizzy Jaraczeski, senior Lilly Allen logged full 90 efforts in at least one match for the Dragons last week.. Jaraczeski is third on the roster in minutes played (non-goalkeeper) with 1,374 minutes. Allen is second on the team, having logged 1,385 ticks in 17 matches so far in 2026. Mary Cox leads the roster with 1,453 minutes played this season. Cox is on pace to enter the single-season top 10 in the category as well.

The Fargo Parks Sports Center...The Fargo Parks Sports Center at the Sanford Sports Complex is a state-of-the-art facility nestled in south Fargo. Opened in 2024, the Fargo Parks Sports Center was achieved due to the partnered efforts of the Fargo Park District, Sanford Health and many more community partners. The goal when developing the Fargo Parks Sports Center was to address a critically unmet community need for indoor recreation facilities to serve Fargo and the surrounding region. The facility features a game-length soccer turf, eight hardwood courts, an indoor track, an IcePlex as well as meeting and event spaces.
