BURNSVILLE, Minn. -- The Northern Sun Intercollegiate Conference (NSIC) has announced its annual all-conference performers for men's basketball. Minnesota State Moorhead true freshman guard
Isa El-Amin was tabbed as an All-NSIC Second Team performer.
With the honor, El-Amin becomes the second straight Dragon freshman to earn All-NSIC honors after
Carson Johnson's selection in 2024-25. El-Amin has not missed a start in his true freshman campaign while leading the Dragons in points per game with 14.4. The Minnetonka, Minn., product also leads the Dragons with 101 assists and 38 steals this season. El-Amin bolsters a solid 43.4 percent shooting clip on the year while also draining a total of 54 three-pointers. The freshman has had 25 performances of double figure scoring as well as six showings of 20 or more points. El-Amin scored a season-high 28 points on 55.6 percent shooting in a victory over Minnesota Duluth on December 6. Heading into the NSIC Tournament Quarterfinals, El-Amin has scored in double figures in 13 consecutive games.
El-Amin and the Dragons are preparing for an NSIC Tournament Quarterfinal bout with Augustana set for Saturday at 7 p.m. from the Sanford Pentagon in Sioux Falls, S.D.
