BURNSVILLE, Minn. -- The Northern Sun Intercollegiate Conference (NSIC) has unveiled its all-conference selections for women's basketball. Minnesota State Moorhead senior post Terryn Johnson and sophomore guard Ashton Safranski were named All-NSIC Second Team performers. 

Johnson earned her third straight All-NSIC nod after a senior campaign that has seen her average a team-high 12.1 points per game and 7.4 rebounds a contest. The Kindred, N.D., native has not missed a start so far this season and bolsters a 54 percent shooting percentage. Johnson has scored in double figures 16 times so far this season with a season-high of 24 points against Northern State on December 18. The senior has logged five double-doubles on the year and has seven showings with 10 or more rebounds. Johnson scored her 1,000th career point as a member of the Dragons on January 30 and currently sits eight rebounds shy of 800 for her career. 

Safranski blossomed into one of the league's best all-around point guards in 2025-26, averaging 10.8 points, 5.4 rebounds, 4.9 assists and 2.4 steals per game. The Fargo, N.D. native has earned 65 steals so far this season, a mark that is the third-highest in the Northern Sun. The sophomore scored in double figures 15 times this season while also having three showings of 10 or more assists. On January 30 against St. Cloud State, Safranski notched a triple-double of 13 points, 10 rebounds and 12 assists in a Dragon victory. The effort was the first triple-double in Moorhead basketball history (women's or men's) and was the first triple-double in NSIC women's basketball since 2017. Safranski was also named NSIC North Division Player of the Week on January 19. 

Johnson, Safranski and the Dragon are back in action in the NSIC Tournament Quarterfinals on Saturday. Moorhead takes on second-seeded Concordia-St. Paul at the Sanford Pentagon in Sioux Falls, S.D., at 1:30 p.m.
