MOORHEAD, Minn. -- Minnesota State Moorhead men's basketball will look to regroup in NSIC North Division play this week. The Dragons travel to take on Jamestown on Thursday at 7:30 p.m. before meeting up with Northern State on Saturday at 6 p.m.

Matchup History...The Dragons and Jimmies met in Moorhead on December 20, marking the first meeting between the two teams since December 1, 2015. Jamestown controlled the matchup, eventually claiming a 93-83 victory over the Dragons. Prior to that victory, Moorhead had won three consecutive games over the Jimmies. Prior to December's matchup, Jamestown last defeated the Dragons on December 3, 1998. The Dragons also fell to the Wolves in their early season meeting with the Wolves claiming a 76-52 victory. Northern State's victory snapped a three-game Dragon winning streak over the Wolves. Since the 2008-09 season, Moorhead has won 19 games with Northern State winning 17 games.
Adam Jenkins led the Dragons in the first meeting with the Wolves, scoring 12 points. Moorhead struggled from the floor on December 18, shooting 30.5 percent from the field. This included a 25 percent success rate on three-point attempts.

Timaris Brown was a vital piece to MSUM's puzzle versus St. Cloud State last Friday. Brown scored a Dragon career-high 20 points, including nine made free throws. The effort for Brown pushed him past 1,000 career points in his collegiate career. Brown has scored 125 points with Moorhead with the remaining 875 points scored during his careers at Rockhurst and IU Indy.Â

Adam Jenkins turned in a career effort against Minnesota State last Saturday. Jenkins scored a career-high 16 points in the game, connecting on 77.7 percent of his attempts. The Moorhead product also snared four rebounds while compiling a blocked shot and a steal.Â
Isa Wheels And Deals...True freshman point guard
Isa El-Amin was an offensive catalyst for Moorhead last week, averaging 14 points per game. The Minnetonka, Minn., native scored 15 points against St. Cloud State on Friday before netting another 13 against Minnesota State. El-Amin shot 57.1 percent from the floor for the weekend and was a key distributor in the Dragon offense. The true freshman averaged five assists per game, including eight against Minnesota State on Saturday.Â

Kabine Kaba continues to do a little bit of everything for Moorhead. On Friday against St. Cloud State, Kaba turned in a line of five points, six rebounds and three steals. Against Minnesota State on Saturday, Kaba netted 11 points with five rebounds and two blocked shots. The performance was Kaba's sixth showing of 10 or more points this season. So far this season, Kaba leads the Dragon roster with 106 total rebounds.Â
Gooden Gets Going...Redshirt junior guard
Dominic Gooden provided a spark off the bench for MSUM against St. Cloud State. Gooden netted 17 points, including three made three-pointers. In total, Gooden shot 50 percent from the floor in the game.
