SARTELL, Minn. -- Minnesota State Moorhead tennis concluded the 2025-26 regular season in winning fashion. The Dragons claimed an NSIC dual with St. Cloud State, 5-2.
The Dragons would win the doubles point thanks to a victory at the number one position from
Luzmary Diaz Castillo and
Sophia Felderman. Moorhead's pair earned a narrow 7-6 victory for their 11th win of the season. The duo concludes NSIC play with a 7-3 record. After
Emma Farder and
Autumn Kron would win via forfeit, MSUM claimed the team point.
Diaz Castillo would wrap her weekend unblemished after another victory in number one singles. The senior claimed the first set over Lara-Maria Schaefer 6-4 before dropping set two by the same score. Diaz Castillo would rally to win the final set 10-2, securing her 14th singles win of the season with seven NSIC wins.
Katryna Hansen would also finish her weekend undefeated in singles play, defeating Margarita Vinichenko in straight sets. Hansen won the first set 7-6, which included a 7-0 tiebreak win for the junior. The Moorhead native captured the win by claiming the second set, 6-3. The Dragons would earn team points at the number five and six positions as
Camilla Bonini and Kron won via forfeit.
