BEMIDJI, Minn. – Minnesota State Moorhead golf opened the 2026-27 season on Monday at the Tracy Lane Memorial Tournament. The Dragons braved rough conditions all day, sitting in fourth place on the team leaderboard.

The Dragons logged a collective 373 through 18 holes to earn the team placement. 

Sophomore Adi Houkom was consistent all day despite the tough conditions. Houkom would shoot an 87 overall through 18 holes, which included a 43 on the back nine. The West Fargo, N.D., product carded nine pars in her round, including a string of four straight even holes on the front nine. Houkom had an even count on the par-five fourth hole that spanned 485 yards at Bemidji Town & Country Club. She sits tied for 13^th on the individual leaderboard. 

Newcomer Sydney Miller would finish four strokes back of Houkom on day one, shooting a 91 overall. Miller had six pars in her round, including four in a five-hole run. The Detroit Lakes, Minn., native logged a pair of pars near the end of the front nine before shooting back-to-back pars to open the back nine. 

Senior Regan Braun would be two strokes back of Miller with a 93 overall. Braun had four pars in her round. Rounding out the Dragon scoring was junior Kamryn Wesloh, who shot a 102 overall. Wesloh improved by eight strokes from the front nine to the back nine on Monday. 

The Tracy Lane Memorial concludes tomorrow with an 18-hole round.
