Biography

2011-12:  Earned three wins and placed fifth at Bison Open...recorded key win at 174 against Concordia.

2010-11: Finished the season 14-8 in the 165 pound division...posted seven match win streak from Feb. 2 to Feb. 28.

2009-10: Posted an overall record of 6-12 for the Dragons.

Prep: Graduate of Scott West-Jordan High School…lettered five times in wrestling football…recorded 176 varsity wins…two-time wrestling team captain and Most Valuable Player…two-time All-State selection…ranked second in the state of Minnesota senior year…finished third in the Minnesota State Championships...three-time state participant…currently holds S.W.J.H.S. record for wins  and takedowns in a season...2009 Rumble on the Red Champion...2007 Rumble on the Red runner-up...Minn./USA Junior and Cadet Freestyle State Champion...2009 USA National Folkstyle runner-up...Honor Roll student during high school career.

Personal: Undeclared major…son of Jerry and Joan Kivel…volunteered with Feed My Starving Children organization and local church.
