Prep: Graduate of Wadena-Deer Creek High School…12-time letter winner including three for football, four times for wrestling and five times for track and field…two-time wrestling team captain…two-time All-Conference selection for wrestling…All-Conference selection for track and field.

Personal: Majoring in Physics…son of Ken and Julie Richards…brother Mike was a Dragon wrestler from 1997 and 2002.
