XC: Placed third in the 6k race at the Dragon Twilight with a new personal-record time of 18:09.9, his top finish of the season...also set a personal-best in the 8k at the NSIC Cross Country Championships with a time of 25:18.2 to finish 22nd overall...registered a 10k mark of 33:38 at the NCAA Central Region Championships...had a pair of top ten finishes during the year...NSIC All-Academic Team of Excellence. 
Indoor: First Team All-America in the 800m following an eighth place finish at the NCAA Indoor Track & Field Championships...USTFCCCA All-Region Selection for his efforts in the 800m as well...was named the NSIC's Indoor Track Athlete of the Year following his third straight conference title in the 800m with a winning time of 1:55.44...also set a personal-best in the mile at the conference meet with a mark of 4:16.62...was a member of MSUM's All-NSIC DMR team at the NSIC meet as well...reset the MSUM school record in the indoor 800m at the Bison Open with a time of 1:50.85...collected event wins at the Bison Team Cup (mile run), the Cobber Indoor Open (1000m) and the Bison Open (800m)...reset the MSUM indoor 600m school record at the SDSU Indoor Classic with a time of 1:18.52, his second time ever running the race...also competed on MSUM's 4x400m relay team that narrowly missed All-NSIC distinction, finishing third overall...was named the NSIC's Track Athlete of the Week on February 6...NSIC All-Academic Team of Excellence. 
Outdoor: Named MSUM Athlete of the Year...Second Team All-America in the 800m following a ninth place finish at the NCAA Outdoor Track & Field Championships...narrowly missed qualifying for the finals in the event with a time of 1:51...USTFCCCA All-Region selection in the 800m as well...was the NSIC's champion in 800m at the NSIC Outdoor Track & Field Championships, clocking a 1:52.77 to claim his first outdoor conference title...finished third in the 800m at the Drake Relays with a time of 1:49.53, which is the second-fastest time of his career behind his school record mark...also ran a sub-1:50 at the Bryan Clay Invitational with a finishing time of 1:49.70...won the 400m at the NDSU Tune-Up with a time of 49.52...was also a member of MSUM's 4x400m relay team that earned an event win at the NDSU Tune-Up and a fifth place finish at the conference championships...NSIC All-Academic Team...CSC Academic All-District Team...USTFCCCA All-Academic...CSC Second Team Academic All-America.

2022-23
XC: Had a top 6k time of 18:55.9 at the Dragon Twilight...set a career-best in the 8k (26:10.9) and 10k (31:31.8...finished 28th at the NSIC Cross Country Championships...NSIC All-Academic Team of Excellence.
Indoor: Collected All-NSIC honors in the 800m following his second consecutive conference championship in the event...earned Second Team All-America distinction in the 800m following a 10th place finish at the NCAA Indoor Track & Field Championships...reset the school record in the 800m at SDSU D2 Invitational (1:51.87) on January 20 before the mark was broken by teammate Jared Gregoire...was also a member of MSUM's distance medley relay team that captured an NSIC championship while setting a new conference record (9:55.26) in the event, which was also a new MSUM record...USTFCCCA All-Region selection...NSIC All-Academic Team of Excellence
Outdoor: Second Team All-America in the 800m following an 11th place finish in the preliminaries at the NCAA Outdoor Track & Field Championships...USTFCCCA All-Region selection in the 800m...All-NSIC performer following a runner-up finish in the 800m at the NSIC Outdoor Track & Field Championships...reset the MSUM school record in the outdoor 800m at the Drake Relays with a time of 1:49.45 where he placed fifth overall in the event...collected personal-bests in both the 1500m (3:54.51) and the 400m (49.89) runs during the course of the seasons...NSIC All-Academic Team of Excellence...CSC Academic All-District selection...USTFCCCA All-Academic...CSC Third Team Academic All-America®

2021-22: All-NSIC honors in both the indoor and outdoor 800-meter run...NSIC champion in the 800 at the NSIC Indoor Championships...finished third in the 800 at the NSIC Outdoor Championships...captured 800-meter wins at three other meets...was a part of MSUM's runner-up 4x400 relay team at the NSIC Indoor Championships.

2020-21: Earned All-NSIC honors in 800m at NSIC Indoor Championships with third-place finish (2/27/21)...finished fourth in 800m at NSIC Outdoor Championships (5/13/21)...had two event wins on the season...named to NSIC All-Academic Team of Excellence for indoor and outdoor seasons. 

2019-20: Competitor in distance events indoors...part of Distance Medley Relay that finished fifth at NSIC Indoor Championships (2/29/20)...finished second in 1,000 meters at Beaver Invite (1/25/20) with career-best time of 2:34.20...outdoor season canceled because of COVID-19.

Prep: 800m Medalist at North Dakota State Track and Field Championships…Two-time all-conference in cross country…all-conference in track…two-time MVP in cross country…four-year letter winner in track and three-year letter winner in cross country…career best times of 1:57.14 at 800m and 4:32.99 at 1600m.  

Personal: Son of Angela Bruer Balouch and Jeff Bruer...business marketing major.
