Before MSUM: Has spent the previous two seasons running at Iowa Central Community College where he was an NJCAA All-American...helped Iowa Central to an NJCAA championship in the distance medley relay with a time of 9:44.89...finished 11th overall in the 1500m at the NJCAA Outdoor Championships...clocked a new personal best in the event's preliminaries with a mark of 3:53.12...holds personal bests of 1:53.60 in the 800m, 4:17.87 in the mile and 9:29.40 in the 3000m steeplechase...also competed in cross country at Iowa Central, clocking personal bests of 17:49 in the 5k and 25:48.1 in the 8k.
Prep: Was a two-time all-conference selection at Buffalo High School as well as earning three all-state selections...held a top 800m time of 1:55 while in high school...had a personal best of 4:27 in the 1600m in high school as well as a 16:14 5k mark.
Personal: Son of Misty and Jesse Boots. Majoring in exercise science.
