A contributing member of the Minnesota State Moorhead athletics family for nearly four decades, Robin Abraham continues in his role as the team's equipment manager in 2018-19.
Abraham is a fixture in Dragon athletics, having played for MSUM in the 1970 and serving as an assistant coach for more than three decades. He is celebrating 40 years at MSUM in 2018.
A starting middle linebacker at MSUM as a junior and senior, Abraham started his career in coaching tutoring Dragon varsity linebackers in 1975 after two seasons with the MSUM junior varsity. An assistant under five different head coaches---Ross Fortier, Ralph Micheli, Chad Eisele, Damon Tomeo and Joel Beard---Abraham developed nine All-American linebackers at MSUM.
Abraham joined the Dragons in 1971 after two years at Mesabi Community College. A two-year letterman at MSUM, Abraham was a first team All-Northern Intercollegiate Conference middle linebacker as a senior and helped the Dragons post a 14-4-1 overall record as an undergraduate.
A 1969 graduate of Cloquet High School, Abraham was a football, basketball and track letterman. He was elected Lumberjack football captain and collected all-district basketball honors as a senior.
 He is also active in Moorhead youth basketball program in the off-season. Daughter Amber Abraham was a former starting guard at NCAA Division I Arkansas State University.
Abraham received the Distinguished Service Award at the 1991 Dragon Homecoming celebration
Robin and his wife Kathy have two daughters, Jethe and Amber.
