Biography

2014: Appeared in all 11 games with three starts at linebacker...finished with 35 tackles, including 16 solo stops...also had 2.5 tackles for loss, a sack, a forced fumble and a pass breakup...finished with a season-high six tackles twice, including against Minnesota State (9/13/14) and Bemidji State (11/8/14).

Prep: Led state of Minnesota in tackles with 193 (145 solo)…had six forced fumbles, two sacks and three fumbles recovered…helped Holy Angels to Class AAAA championship game in 2013…2013 second-team all-state selection….all-conference selection…team captain…also lettered in basketball and track.

Personal: Son of Maria and Brian McCarthy...undecided major...born July 26, 1995.
