2010: In nine games as a sophomore, he caught five passes for 48 yards…in the opening game of the season against Missouri Southern (Aug. 26) he caught two passes for 21 yards.

2009: Played in 11 games as a freshman…caught 29 passes for 270 yards…had a long catch of 38 yards in the Dragons first game of the season against Valley City State on Aug. 29…had a season high nine catches against Mary (N.D.) on Oct. 10 for 59 yards…third on the team in catches and yards receiving.

2008: Redshirted.

Prep: A 2008 graduate of Columbia Heights High School…an eight time letter winner at CHHS, three in football, three in basketball and two in baseball…holds the CHHS school record for most receptions without a drop with 65…named the team’s captain in 2007…selected as the team’s Most Valuable Player as a senior and followed that with an All-North Suburban Conference first-team selection…in basketball served as team’s captain for two seasons.

Personal: Majoring in Physical Education with a Coaching minor…son of Lona and Greg Birr…born May 17, 1990…named All-Conference in Band and Choir…member of CHHS Link Crew…member of the High School Courage Retreat Leader…selected as the NCAA DII male representative from MSUM for the Leadership Conference in 2009…Academic All-Conference in 2009.
