Travis Anderson took over as the first-ever strength and conditioning coach in 2010 for MSUM. A Fargo, N.D., native, Anderson joined the Dragon football staff in July of 2007 and served as the team’s strength and conditioning coach, WR’s coach and special team’s coordinator.

A four-year letterwinner at Valley City State University and captain-elect of the Vikings as a senior, Anderson was a first-team All-DAC pick as a sophomore and junior, and an honorable mention choice as a senior. His receiving harvest as a junior was the fifth-highest single-season mark in VCSU history.

Anderson graduated from VCSU in 2004. After a brief career as a personal trainer in Minneapolis, he joined the University of North Dakota Strength and Conditioning staff in 2005 as graduate assistant. At UND, he oversaw the training of women’s soccer, men’s and women’s swimming and diving, men’s and women’s track and field, dance and cheer team, and assisted with football, men’s and women’s basketball and volleyball teams.

Anderson earned a bachelor's degree in exercise science from Valley City State in 2004 and later finished his master's degree from MSUM in educational leadership.

A 2001 graduate of Fargo North High School, Anderson lettered in football and basketball and was a two-sport captain for the Spartans. He was a first team All-Eastern Dakota Conference choice as a senior and led the team to a state championship.

Anderson is a Certified Strength and Conditioning Specialist through the NSCA (National Strength and Conditioning Association). He also holds his First Aid/CPR certification.

Travis and his wife, Sue, have a four children and reside in West Fargo, ND.
