Jordan Petersen is in her first season as an assistant coach on the Minnesota State University Moorhead softball staff in 2019-20.
Petersen is no stranger to the NSIC, having played softball at league power Winona State before serving as a graduate assistant at Northern State from 2017 to 2019
While at Northern State, Petersen was a part of a staff that moved the team's conference performance from 10th place in 2017 to fifth place in 2018, along with breaking records on the mound and at the plate. She completed a Master's in Sports Performance and Leadership at NSU to add to her Health and Physical Education degree and minor in Coaching from Winona State (2016).
As a student-athlete, Petersen was a part of the Winona State Warriors' two NSIC championships and NCAA Super Regional run during her career as a catcher. She was successful in the classroom garnering NSIC Academic All-Conference accolades as well as a three-time Winona Presidential Scholar-Athlete. Petersen was also selected to attend the NCAA Career in Sports Forum.
